The Duke of Ken!. President of the Institution, visited Whitby, Staithes, Redcar and Teesmoulh lifeboat stations on Wednesday July 22. Travelling in a helicopter of the Queen's Flight, he arrived at Whi/bv Abliev where he was received b the Marquis of Normanbv, Lord Lieutenant of North Yorkshire and a member of the Committee of Management, who accompanied him throughout his visit, together with Rear Admiral W. J. Graham, director of the RNLI, Cdr Bruce Cairns, chief of operations, and Ll Alan Tale, divisional inspector of lifeboats (North East). After going afloat in Whitby's 44ft Waveney lifeboat.
