The 37ft din Rother class lifeboat Shoreline is stationed at Blyth. The station honorary secretary is Dr Reginald Carr (I.) who is also Blyth's honorary medical adviser. He is a busy GP and when a call for the lifeboat comes while he is visting patients, his wife, Mrs Margaret Carr (c.), immediately musters the crew while Dr Carr is returning to base.
