At a coffee evening held to mark the retirement of Erdington, Birmingham, branch honorary treasurer Mr H. Higton, seen here (I.) shaking hands with chairman Reginald Wood, £60 was raised; this brought the branch's takings to a very successful £2,330 for the year. The model Solent lifeboat was presented to the branch by a former chairman.
