Despite forceful persuasion the raft Dear Lady seems reluctant to enter the water.

As the only all-lady crew, the member of Great Yarmouth and Gorleston guild were competing in a raft race organised by Gorleston Chamber of Trade and Rotary Club. Over 60 rafts took part with this particular crew raising £450 in sponsorship.

The entire event made £7,000, shared by the local lifeboat and hospital.
