Tunes popular at the turn of the century fill the streets of New Romney every lifeboat day. This 80-year-old piano organ is wheeled out and operated by Mr E. N. Smith (I.), honorary treasurer of Littlestone-on-Sea station branch, and his wife (2nd r.).
The other two collectors are Franz and Frauke Radomski from Hamburg who arrange their holidays to coincide with New Romney's flag day and last year helped Mr and Mrs Smith collect £80..
