This painting of Lowestoft lifeboat has been of triple benefit to the local guild and station; first it was presented to Mrs Irene Craig (I.), chairman of the ladies' guild by its artist Jason Partner (r.) at the annual ball with retired coxswain Tommy Knot! looking on. Then it was auctioned for £265 to swell the evening's takings to almost £2,000 and finally the purchaser gave it to the lifeboat crew for their clubhouse.
