The ship's company of RFA Gold Rover, commanded by Captain P. T. Taylor, collected £234 for Weymouth lifeboat station and the money was presented to Coxswain Vic Pitman (1.) by Chief Officer J. Carew at Portland last January. With them (I. to r.) are Motor Mechanic Derek Sargent, Mrs E. S. Taylor, chairman of Weymouth ladies' guild, and Lt-Cdr B. F. Morris, Weymouth station honorary secretary.
