The newly constructed wishing pool in Ramsgate Model Village raised £263 during June, July and August.
Harry Lawford, a DLA at Ramsgate, who built the pool, gave all the monies collected in it to Ramsgate lifeboat. He handed over a cheque to Coxswain Ron Cannon (I.) actually in the wishing pool.
