It is with deep regret that we announce the following deaths: November, 1978 James Henry Brown, who joined Caister lifeboat crew in 1914, was second coxswain from 1941 to 1949 and coxswain from 1950 to 1956.

July, 1979 Richard Harris, motor mechanic of Shoreham lifeboat from 1930 to 1938 and of Torbay lifeboat from 1938 to 1966. He was awarded four bronze medals, in 1939, 1944, 1959 and 1964.

Eustace Williams, motor mechanic of Newburgh lifeboat from 1941 to 1965.
