The proportions of these bells, and the metal used, give them a fine ringing tone which meets maritime authority requirements. They are sand-cast, turned on the outside, polished to a brilliant finish, and lacquered. Each bell is bolted to a swan-necked wallmounting bracket. The clappers, fitted with lanyard rings, are steel hung for durability. Engraved letters are machine cut, proportionate to the size of the bell.
