Pennies May Not Rain from Heaven But Pound Notes Floated Down Just Outside Filey With a Little Help from a Helicopter from 665 Army Helicopter Squadron from Topclif
Pennies may not rain from heaven but pound notes floated down just outside Filey, with a little help from a helicopter from 665 Army Helicopter Squadron from Topcliffe, North Yorkshire. Staff at the Topcliffe base had done a 44-mile sponsored walk over the moors and the amount raised, £83, was shared equally between Filey and Scarborough branches. The picture shows (I. to r.) George Exley, secretary Scarborough branch, Sgt David Borrows, Sgt Joe Harris, Staff Sgt Mick Sharpe and David Liversidge, secretary Filey branch.
