A sponsored silence, organised by Skegness ladies' guild, was undertaken by 72 local children and raised £534. The first three prize winners, Michelle Hilton, Emma Ruston and Wendy Balderson, between them raised £68. They were presented with their prizes on board Skegness lifeboat by Coxswain Ken Holland.
