Four of the programme sellers at the Lifeboat and Mermaid Ball held by the Central London Committee at the Dorchester Hotel last November: (I. to r.) Such was the advertising support given by associations, shipping lines, oil companies and both the marine and non-marine commercial world that over £12,000 was raised from this programme alone.
