On Saturday, July 2 Port St Mary lifeboat, the 54' Arun The Cough Ritchie, went to the help of a small boat reported drifting with a fouled propeller on to the rocks below Ronaldsway Flying Club, about eight miles north east of the lifeboat station. There was afresh breeze, force 5, blowing from the south west and the sea was moderate.

The motor boat, with two people on board, was towed to Derbyhaven.
