Great Yarmouth and Gorleston: Relief 44' Waveney lifeboat 44-001 on temporary duty at Gorleston returning from service to the Danish vessel Baltic, which had developed a heavy list, on April 8. Seven seamen, picked up by the tug Vanguard, were transferred to 44-001, which brought them back to Gorleston before returning to standby Baltic, under tow by the tug Union I and with two of the tug's crew aboard her.
