Lymington took just one month to raise £760 to pay for a pair of propellers for the new Arun lifeboat being built for Yarmouth, Isle of Wight. On December 14, two cheques, each for £380, one from the branch and one from the ladies' guild, were taken to Yarmouth in the yacht Anahita III, owned by Derek Hobson, chairman of Lymington branch (extreme left).
