On May 29 Stornoway's new 48' 6" Solent lifeboat (left) was named Hugh William Viscount Gough in memory of the late Lord Cough, a regular fishing visitor to the island, by his widow, the Viscountess Gough. The lifeboat was provided by a gift from the Viscountess and her son, the present Viscount Gough. W. F. G.
