A canoeist brought a message to Filcy Coastguard on August 14, 1973, that a man and two children were stranded on rocks north of Filey Brig. The Filey ILB was launched at 1905 and within an hour hail taken the three people on hoard (right), landed them safely and had herself returned to station.
