by courtesy of David Crowden A profit of £400 was made for the R.N.L.I, at the cheese and wine tasting evening held at the Royal Naval College, Greenwich, on 8th September, 1972. The 350 tickets for the event were sold by local branches and guilds, in particular Eltham, Sidcup and Lewisham, and special help was given by the Dutch Dairy Bureau, Findlater Mackie Todd & Co.
