Admiral Sir Wilfrid Woods, G.B.E., K.C.B., D.S.O., Chairman of the Royal National Lifeboat Institution, sent a telegram of congratulations to Mr. J. C. Clarke, of Gwenfro, Greystone Park, Penmaenmawr, Caerns., who celebrated his hundredth birthday on 20th August. Mr. Clarke, who joined the committee of the Penmaenmawr branch of the R.N.L.I, in 1948, is still an active worker for the life-boat service and an annual subscriber to the branch..
