AnnouncingHectaFlOO A small echo sounder with a big punch! Hecta Model F100, while embodying many of the features of the well-proven 30 and 60 fathom instruments, has a transmitter of greatly increased power (in a separate case, as shown above) which extends the maximum range to 100 fathoms.

Now, for the first time, the yacht navigator can run a line of soundings over any part of the Continental shelf. Performance in shallow water has not been impaired, and Hecta F100 is as effective as the other models for pilotage and in-shore racing.

There is also a metric model, M.200.

These instruments are ideal also for power-boats since the high power of the transmitter overcomes interference from propeller noise and so enables soundings to be obtained at higher speeds than is possible with the low powered instruments.
