Diddi II

Ilfracombe, Devon - At 9.35 a.m. on 6th April, 1969, it was learnt that a ketch on passage from Ilfracombe to Bristol appeared to be in difficulties.

The life-boat Lloyd's II was launched at 10 o'clock in an easterly gale with a very rough sea. The tide was ebbing. The life-boat came up withthe ketch Diddi II, with one man on board, four miles west of Baggy point. Her engine had broken down.

The life-boat took her in tow to Ilfracombe, and returned to her station at 4.43 p.m..
