Kruguen

St. Mary's, Scilly Islands - At 3.30 a.m. on 23rd January, 1969, it was learnt that the French trawler Kruguen had broken down eight miles west south west of the Bishop Rock lighthouse. The life-boat Guy and Clare Hunter was launched at 3.40.

It was low water. The life-boat came up with the trawler, which carried a crew of six, at 5.36, and took her in tow to St. Mary's, returning to her station at 8 o'clock..
