Bridlington, Yorkshire - At 10.52 a.m.

on 5th November, 1968, the coastguard informed the honorary secretary that the coble Kate & Violet had broken down one mile east of the coastguard station. At 11.15 the life-boat William Henry and Mary King was launched. The tide was ebbing. At 11.32 the life-boat came up with the coble with 14 people on board and took her in tow to Bridlington, returning to her station at 2.30..
