Mr. Long, who is up to date with his facts, writes: 'So these chapters have in turn covered all the life-boat stations on the Norfolk coast, giving a brief insight into the traditions which lie behind them, the tasks which confront them and, not least, the risks which always attend them. Bear these things in mind, lest you encounter a flag-seller in the street and be tempted to pass by on the other side.'.
