Seaspray
Skegness, Lincolnshire - At 4.5 p.m.
on 14th March, 1968, the coastguard informed the honorary secretary that a small boat was in difficulties aboutone mile off Skegness pier. The lifeboat Charles Fred Grantham was launched at 4.21 in a light westerly breeze and a slight sea. The tide was flooding. The life-boat found the speedboat Seaspray with a crew of two at 4.40. The crew were taken on board the life-boat and the speedboat taken in tow. The life-boat returned to her station at 5.5. The men rescued made a donation to the Institution's funds..
