Triarda

Hoylake, Cheshire - At 12.30 a.m.

on 21st October, 1967, the coastguard informed the honorary secretary that red flares had been seen about one mile off Leasowe lighthouse.

The life-boat Oldham IV was launched at 1.13 in a gentle gusting to moderate south westerly bteeze and a slight sea. It was high water.

The life-boat proceeded and found the local fishing boat Triarda with her propellers fouled. The Triarda, with two people on board, was taken in tow to Hoylake and the life-boat returned to her station at 2.35..
