Snark

Clacton-on-Sea, Essex - At 4.10 p.m. on iyth June, 1967, a message was received that the yacht Snark had been swept on to Gunfleet sands following engine trouble. The life-boat Sir Godfrey Baring was launched at 4.25 in a moderate east north easterly breeze and a choppy sea. The tide was flooding. The Snark's crew of two were taken on board the lifeboat and the yacht taken in tow to Rowhedge.
