Sea Dawn

Portpatrick, Wigtownshire - At 6.30 p.m. on 2nd June, 1967, news was received that the ketch Sea Dawn had engine failure 14 miles north west of the Corsewall lighthouse. The life-boat The Jeanie slipped her moorings at 6.59 in a gentle southerly breeze and a slight sea.

The life-boat came up with the ketch with three people on board seven miles north of the Corsewall lighthouse. After taking the ketch in tow the life-boat returned to her station which was reached at 4.5 a.m.
