Ramsgate, Kent - At 1.24 p.m. on 24th July, 1967, it was learned that a motor boat with nine people on board had broken down and was in difficulties off Ramsgate sands. The life-boat Michael and Lily Davis slipped her moorings at 1.31 in a fresh south westerly breeze and a slight sea. It was high water. When the life-boat arrived she found the motorboat Lady Jane had been taken in tow by another boat. The life-boat escorted the two boats to Broadstairs and returned to her station at 2.55..
