Plymouth, Devon - At 8.2 p.m. on 6th August, 1967, the coastguard toldthe honorary secretary that two people were cut off by the tide at Freathy. The IRB was launched at 8.15. The life-boat Lloyd's, on temporary duty at the station, slipped her moorings at 8.24. It was one hour after high water. The IRB on arrival at Freathy found that the two people had been rescued. She returned to her station at 9.15. At 9.2 the lifeboat was asked to investigate a report of a yacht which appeared to be in trouble three miles south of Portwrinkle. At 9.30 the life-boat came up with the yacht Happy Aggie with a crew of four. Her engine had broken down. She was taken in tow to Sutton harbour and the lifeboat returned to her station at 12.20 a.m. on 7th August..
