Swanage, Dorset - At 1.19 p.m. on 2ist June, 1967, information was received that a cabin cruiser had broken down one mile south of Hopelake and that the crew of two were signalling for assistance. The life-boat R.L.P. was launched at 1.26 in a fresh south westerly breeze and a slight swell. The tide was ebbing. The life-boat came up with the cabin cruiser Fiona withengine trouble and a damaged rudder drifting close to the Heameridge ledges.

The Fiona was taken in tow to Poole and the life-boat returned to her station at 7.20..
