Ramsgate, Kent - At 5.33 p.m. on I2th August, 1967, the coastguard informed the coxswain that a yacht half a mile east of the North Goodwin buoy was firing flares. The Swedish ship Buenas Aires was standing by until the life-boat arrived. The life-boat Michael and Lily Davis slipped her moorings at 5.47 in a strong west north westerly breeze and a rough sea. The tide was ebbing. The life-boat found the yacht Depaky II whose mainsail had been carried away. There were three people on board. A member of the life-boat crew was put aboard and the yacht was then taken in tow to Ramsgate harbour.

The life-boat returned to her station at 7.6..
