Barry Dock, Glamorganshire - At i p.m. on 23rd August, 1967, the coastguard informed the honorary secretary that an 18-foot yacht had capsized off Fontagary and three people were clinging to her. The life-boat Rachel and Mary Evans was launched at 1.5 in a moderate westerly breeze and a choppy sea. Thetide was ebbing.
