A Dinghy (11)

Dunbar, East Lothian - At 11.54 a.m. on 3Oth July, 1967, it was learnt that two children in a yellow rubber dinghy were being swept out to sea from Whitesands.

The life-boat Margaret slipped her moorings at 12 o'clock in a light south westerly breeze and a slight sea. The tide was ebbing. The life-boat rescued two girls and brought them and their rubber dinghy to Dunbar harbour. The life-boat returned to her station at 12.40 p.m..
