The M.V Summer Isle

Bembridge, Isle of Wight - At 1.25 p.m. on 3ist March, 1967, the m.v.

Summer Isle reported that she wished to hand over a body which had been recovered from the sea. She was making for Nab tower. The life-boat Jesse Lumb was launched at 3 o'clock. There was a moderate north easterly breeze with a corresponding sea. It was high water. At 3.50 the body was transferred to the lifeboat which proceeded to South Camber, Portsmouth. The life-boat arrived back at her station at 6.50..
