The Motor Fishing Vessels Provider, Ocean Venture and Success

At 9 a.m. on i8th April, 1967, it was decided that, owing to a sudden deterioration in weather conditions, the life-boat should stand by for the return of the motor fishing vessels Provider, Ocean Venture and Success which were at sea.

The life-boat Mary Ann Hepworth was launched at 9.15 in a squally north westerly wind and a rough sea. It was two hours before high water. The life-boat escorted the three boats safely across the bar and returned to her station at 3.15 p.m..
