Spray and Cabin Cruiser Dolphin

Sal combe, South Devon - At 12.58 p.m. on I2th March, 1967, a motor fishing vessel and a cabin cruiser appeared to be in difficulties off Lannicombe Bay. Conditions were deteriorating and a gale warning was in force. The life-boat The Baltic Exchange slipped her moorings at 1.5 in a moderate to fresh south easterly wind and choppy sea. It was low water.

She found the motor fishing vessel Spray and cabin cruiser Dolphin off Moorsands.

Both were making slow progress. The life-boat escorted both vessels into Salcombe harbour and returned to her station at 2.5,.
