Shallow Waters, of Jersey

At 5.46 p.m. on 25th April, 1967, information was received that a fishing boat returning from the Minquiers had engine trouble and was taking in water.

The life-boat Peter and Sarah Blake, on temporary duty at the station, slipped her moorings at 6 o'clock in a strong north easterly wind and a moderate sea. It was two hours before high water. A local boat had already made contact with the casualty, the fishing boat Shallow Waters of Jersey, but had been unsuccessful in making a tow rope fast. The life-boat took the casualty in tow to St. Helier and returned to her moorings at 7.15..
