Amble, Northumberland - At 7.2 a.m. on iTth March, 1967, news was received that the coble Provider was stillat sea to the eastward of Amble and conditions were bad. The life-boat Millie Walton slipped her moorings at 7.40 in a strong gale force wind and a moderate sea with a heavy swell. It was just after high water.
