A Canoe

Dunbar, East Lothian - At 12.9 p.m.

on 2nd May, 1967, news was received that a canoe had capsized outside the harbour entrance. The life-boat Margaret slipped her moorings at 12.11 in a strong north westerly wind and a rough sea. It was two and a half hours after high water.

The canoeist was picked up 200 yards from the harbour mouth and the life-boat returned to her moorings at 12.34..
