Lapwing
Peter-head, Aberdeenshire - At i.i p.m. on 8th January, 1967, the coastguard informed the honorary secretary that the motor fishing vessel Lapwing was firing red flares approximately a quarter of a mile off Peterhead breakwater. The life-boat Julia Park Barry, of Glasgow, was launched at 1.12 in a h'ght north north easterly wind and a slight sea. She proceeded to the position indicated and found the fishing vessel which had a broken rudder. The life-boat secured a towline to the casualty and towed her into Peterhead harbour.
