Bridlington, Yorkshire - At 3.8 p.m. on 27th February, 1967, it was learned that six fishing vessels were still at sea and concern was felt for their safety in view of the deteriorating weather conditions. There was a strong gale from the south west by south with a very rough sea. It was three hours before high water.

The life-boat Tillie Morrison, Sheffield II launched at 3.35 and as each fishing vessel approached the bar the life-boat stood by. When all the vessels had entered harbour the life-boat returned to her station, arriving at 4.45..
