Charles Parsons
Great Yarmouth and Gorleston, Norfolk - At 1.55 p.m. on I4th February, 1967, news was received that a member of the crew of the collier Charles Parsons had injured his ankle. The position of the vessel was about two miles east of the harbour. A doctor accompanied the life-boat Louise Stephens which was launched at 4.10 - two hours before low water. There was a strong south-easterly wind and a moderate sea. The life-boat reached the collier at 4.25 and the injured man, after receiving medical attention, was taken on board the life-boat and landed at 5 o'clock..
