A Polish Trawler

Arbroath, Angus - At 7 p.m. on 24th November, 1966, it was reported that a Polish trawler was aground on Bell rock. At 7.13 the life-boat, The Duke of Montrose was launched. It was one hour after low water. The life-boat came alongside the casualty at 8.38 but the captain declined assistance. The lifeboat stood by until the trawler refloated herself. She returned to her station at 10.23..
