A Motor Boat (1)
Troon, Ayrshire - At 3.50 p.m. on ist October, 1966, the honorary secretary saw a red flare aboard a motor boat off Lady Isle. Ten minutes later the lifeboat James and Barbara Aitken left her moorings in a rough sea and a fresh west north westerly breeze. It was two hours after high water. The life-boat picked up two men, who had swum to Lady Isle from the sunken motor boat, and returned to her moorings at 5.5.
