There was a moderate westerly wind with a slight sea. It was decided to launch the life-boat when the tide had made sufficiently to tow the Sanu off. The life-boat Guy and Clare Hunter left at 3 o'clock, and when she reached Tresco she found that the casualty was badly holed and taking water rapidly.
