Sennen Cove, Cornwall - At 5.35 p.m. on 2ist July, 1966, two men were reported cut off by the tide in a cave near Land's End. A dinghy was put aboard the life-boat Susan Ashley which was launched at 5.55 in a moderate to fresh northeasterly wind and a moderate sea. It wastwo hours after low water. When the lifeboat arrived at Land's End the coastguards burned a flare to indicate the position of the cave. The dinghy was manned and went in to the cliff. The two youths who were on a ledge were taken into the dinghy and transferred to the lifeboat.
