Salcombe, Devon - At 5.50 p.m. on 5th August, 1966, it was reported that a woman had fallen from a cliff path at Moorsands near Prawle. The life-boat The Baltic Exchange left her moorings at 6.12 with her boarding boat in tow. There was a light west north westerly wind and a heavy swell. It was three hours after low water. She reached the scene of the accident at 7.10 and put a party ashore. The injured woman was transferred to the lifeboat, which returned to the Customs quay where the patient was tranferred to a waiting ambulance. The life-boat returned to her station at 7.36..
