Rhyl, Flintshire - At 6.2jp.m. onzoth August, 1966, an aircraft had reported a small boat making distress signals about two miles west of the life-boat house. The life-boat Lucy Lovers, on temporary duty at the station, was launched at 6.30 in a light north north easterly wind and a slight sea. It was four hours after high water. The life-boat found the power boat Ingrid drifting, with her propellor damaged. She took two adults and two children off the Ingrid and towed her to Rhyl.
